Tucker Carlson recently made some serious claims about Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex trafficker who died in jail in 2019. Speaking at a Turning Point USA summit in Tampa, Florida, Carlson said he believes Epstein was working for a foreign government—specifically, Israel. He added that many people in Washington D.C. think the same but are too afraid to say it out loud.
Carlson told the audience, “I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t think that. I don’t know any of them that hate Israel. But no one feels they can say that.” He explained that although this belief is common in political circles, people stay quiet because they fear being judged or labeled unfairly.
He went on to suggest that Epstein was likely involved in more than just criminal activity—he may have been running a “blackmail operation.” Carlson made this claim while talking about recently released information from the Department of Justice (DOJ).
A two-page memo from the DOJ and the FBI said that Epstein did not have a “client list,” and that he died by suicide while in his jail cell in 2019. This happened shortly before he was scheduled to go to trial.
Many people, especially those who support the MAGA movement, are upset about this conclusion. They find it hard to believe that Epstein didn’t keep a list of his powerful clients and are suspicious of the way his death was handled.
Carlson criticized the DOJ’s explanation and said, “The real question is, why was he doing this, on whose behalf, and where did the money come from?” He believes Epstein was not acting alone or for personal gain, but was working for intelligence agencies. He strongly suggested that these intelligence services were probably not American.
“I think the real answer is Jeffrey Epstein was working on behalf of intel services, probably not American. And we have every right to ask, on whose behalf was he working?” Carlson told the crowd. He then said people are afraid to mention the idea that Epstein may have been connected to Israel because of political pressure.
He explained, “Now, no one’s allowed to say that the foreign government is Israel because we have been somehow cowed into thinking that’s naughty.
There is nothing wrong with saying that. There is nothing hateful about saying that,” Carlson said. “There’s nothing anti-Semitic about saying that. There’s nothing even anti-Israel about saying that.”
Carlson added that American citizens should expect their government to protect their interests and should also demand that foreign governments not interfere in ways that hurt those interests. “And you have the right to expect your government will not act against your interests, and you have a right to demand that foreign governments not be allowed to act against your interests,” he said.
Carlson has been very outspoken about the DOJ’s findings and has accused former Attorney General Pam Bondi of hiding important details about Epstein’s connections. He said there was an “obvious” reason why she was “covering up” the so-called “client list.”
To add to the growing doubts, the DOJ also released footage of Epstein’s final hours in jail, but this has led to even more conspiracy theories. In the video, a digital clock on the screen skips ahead by a full minute—from 11:58:58 p.m. to 12:00:00 a.m. This missing time has raised more questions, and so far, officials have not given an explanation to news outlets like The Independent or the New York Times.
In summary, Carlson’s statements suggest that Epstein’s death and activities may not be as simple as the official reports make them seem. He believes there are deeper connections involving foreign intelligence and that the American public deserves answers.
His comments have sparked more debate, especially among those who already mistrust the government’s version of events.
